Transfers
In Moneyscope, transfer transactions involve moving money between your accounts. Examples include transferring funds from a checking account to a savings account.
This article provides a detailed overview of transfer transactions, including how to add, edit, and delete a transfer transaction in Moneyscope.
Attributes
Attribute | Description |
---|---|
Amount | The total amount of money transferred. |
From Account | The account from which the money is being transferred. Learn more about Accounts. |
To Account | The account to which the money is being transferred. Learn more about Accounts. |
Date | The date the transfer occurred. By default date will be current date, but you can select any date. If you choose a future date, the transaction will be scheduled for that date and will not affect your budget until the selected date arrives and you approve the transaction. Cleared | Indicates whether the transaction has been cleared. |
Repeat | Specifies if the transaction is recurring and the frequency. Learn more about Repeating transactions. |
Notes | Any additional information about the transaction. |
How to Add a Transfer Transaction
- Tap the + button in the bottom navigation panel.
- Select the Transfer tab.
- Enter the Amount.
- Select From Account
- Select To Account
- Select the Date.
- Choose if the transaction is Cleared.
- If the transaction will be repeating, set the Repeat attribute.
- Optionally, add Notes.
- Tap Save to add the transaction.
How to Edit a Transfer Transaction
- Go to Transactions List: In the bottom navigation panel, tap the Transactions icon.
- Select the Transfer Transaction: Find and select the transfer transaction you want to edit.
- Modify the Details: Make the necessary changes to the amount, accounts, date, cleared status, repeat frequency, or notes.
- Save Changes: Tap the save button to update the transaction with your changes.
💡 You can swipe right on the transaction to change its cleared state.
How to Delete a Transfer Transaction
- Go to Transactions List: In the bottom navigation panel, tap the Transactions icon.
- Select the Transfer Transaction: Find and select the transfer transaction you want to delete.
- Delete the Transaction: Tap the delete button to remove the transaction from your records.
💡 You can swipe left on the transaction to delete it quickly.
